where your relationships begin to make more sense.

You’re thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring. Yet patterns in your relationships—old dynamics, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection—continue to surface in ways that are difficult to fully understand or shift.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, look more closely, and begin to understand what's happening beneath the surface–so change can happen in a more meaningful, lasting way.

you may appear composed, capable, and steady on the outside. internally, things feel more complex.

You care deeply about your relationships yet may find yourself repeating patterns that leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain.

At times, you may notice yourself overextending, struggling to set boundaries, or caught in dynamics that feel difficult to shift.

You’re not looking for quick solutions—you’re looking to understand what’s happening more deeply, so that change feels real and lasting.

With therapy, you can begin to:

Set and maintain boundaries without the weight of guilt
Respond with greater awareness, rather than from familiar patterns
Untangle relational dynamics that feel difficult to shift
Process grief and past experiences so the present feels more spacious
Experience a deeper sense of connection and emotional steadiness in your relationship

Hi, I'm  Luz Cotto-Charneski, LCSW.

I provide relational, trauma-informed therapy rooted in psychoanalytic thinking, with a focus on how your relationships shape the way you experience yourself and others.

Clients often experience me as steady, intuitive, and deeply attuned. I listen closely—not only to what is said, but to what is felt and sometimes difficult to put into words.

As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I welcome the full context of who you are and where you come from.

Many of the clients I work with are busy individuals who carry a lot. They manage work, marriage, parenting, and often caregiving, yet live with an undercurrent of anxiety, sadness, or overwhelm.

You may notice people-pleasing, control around money or schedules, difficulty sleeping, or a pull to fix others at the expense of yourself. You want peace in your body, clarity in your choices, and warmer connection at home.

Together, we slow down and make sense of what is happening inside and between you and the people you love. We explore your history, name patterns, and use psychoeducation, practical boundary work, and gentle visualization so change shows up in real life.

If your relationship is part of the work, I also see couples. Sessions are offered in person in Darien, CT and virtually across CT & NY. If you are ready to feel more grounded and present, I’d be honored to help you take the next step.
